You don't have to figure this out alone.
Raising a child with a trauma history is hard. You love them deeply, but some days the behaviors, the disconnection, the exhaustion leave you wondering if anything is working. Rooted Families exists for exactly this moment. We provide TBRI-based training, therapeutic groups, and community support that help caregivers and children heal together. No insurance required. No waitlist of six months. Just real tools, real people, and a place where your family feels seen.
We removed the barriers between your family and real support.
Most families can't access quality trauma-informed care. Insurance won't cover it. The right programs are too far away. Or the training stops after a two-day workshop and leaves you on your own. Rooted Families was built to close those gaps. Our founder is a foster-adopt parent who has sat where you're sitting. She built this organization because the support she needed didn't exist. Now it does.

What is TBRI, and why does it work?
Trust-Based Relational Intervention is an evidence-based approach developed at Texas Christian University to help children who have experienced early harm, neglect, or instability. TBRI works by addressing three interconnected needs: the child's physiological needs, their need for empowerment and voice, and their deep need for connection and felt safety. It's one of the few models that treats the whole child rather than targeting specific behaviors in isolation. At Rooted Families, we believe TBRI isn't something you learn once and check off. It's a way of seeing your child and responding to them that grows with practice, community, and support over time. Our programs are built around that belief.
Ways to Get Involved
Rooted Families grows because people show up. Whether you give financially, volunteer your time, or bring us into your church or organization, your involvement creates stability for families who desperately need it. Here's how you can be part of what we're building.
